Bean dip is super quick and easy to make, and goes over great at parties. Versatile, healthy and tasty, whip up this bean dip for just about any reason – to have with nachos on movie night, to take along for your next party, or as the protein part of your healthy lunch plate full of veggies and salsa. Here’s how to make it.
Bean Dip Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 can of vegetarian refried beans
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup jarred salsa
- 3 Tablespoons finely chopped onion (try to get a nice, sweet mild one)
- 2 Tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
Bean Dip Recipe Instructions:
In a medium saucepan, combine refried beans, salsa and cheese. Cook on medium heat, stirring frequently until mixture becomes smooth and bubbles a bit. Shut off heat and mix in onion bits. The idea is to half-cook the onion – it brings out the flavor nicely, I think. Remove from stove, spoon into serving bowl and mix in the fresh cilantro.
So freaking good.
Serves: a small crowd, or one voracious bean dip lover.
